Abstract
A Pd-catalysed method enables regio- and diastereoselective C–H alkylation of diverse alkenes using carboxylic acids as alkyl sources, expanding synthetic access to complex substituted alkenes that are valuable building blocks in pharmaceutical chemistry.
The reaction proceeds under mild conditions with broad functional group tolerance, allowing late-stage modification of complex molecules. The method was demonstrated on over 80 substrates including several pharmaceutical intermediates.
